Job Summary

Role Title: System Configuration Associate

Reports to: Head of Global Retail IT

About the role

The role as System Configuration Associate is newly established, based at our Global HQ in Copenhagen, and will be part of our IT Department. The role has a global scope and involves close collaboration with the Operations and Marketing teams.

The overall responsibility is to manage and maintain system configurations across core business areas, such as employee, customer, and store data. The objective is to enhance our data foundation, ensure operational stability, and support informed decision-making through well-governed system configuration and data quality management.

Key responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

• Own and maintain system configurations across business-critical systems (e.g., POS, employee, customer, and vendor data).
• Ensure timely, accurate configuration and documentation across all key systems.
• Maintain data integrity by properly configuring systems and planning ITSM changes.
• Collaborate with Retail IT, Operations, Marketing, and Engineering & Data Warehousing to align system configurations with business needs.
• Identify opportunities to improve data governance and configuration processes.
• Conduct configuration audits and set up dashboards (e.g., Grafana) for observability.
• Plan and coordinate changes affecting system integrations to minimize disruptions.
• Provide guidance to business users on configuration standards and data entry best practices.

Key Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in system configuration, data governance, or similar roles.
• Hands-on experience with ERP, POS, or MDM systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle).
• Strong proficiency in Excel and familiarity with SQL or data query tools.
• Fluency in English is required.
• Knowledge of system configuration processes and change control best practices.
• Experience with tools like JIRA, Grafana, Deliverect, Adyen, Commerce tools, or CMS (e.g., Storyblok) is a plus.
• Familiarity with data structures in the retail, hospitality, or food & beverage industries is advantageous.
• Experience in global or multi-site environments is a plus.
